Route Instruction and Introduction
(The following project information has not yet been finalized and is for reference only. The comprehensive plan approved by the central government shall prevail.)
(一)Origin of the plan：
The Taoyuan MRT Phase II network planning report was filed with the Ministry of Transportation on May 6, 2022. The Taoyuan Chang Gung Line has been planned as an early route to strengthen the transportation connection between Taoyuan and the New Taipei City Military Region.
(二)Plan content：
The MRT Silver Line will connect Taoyuan and Guishan administrative districts and the Chang Gung Line in Linkou, New Taipei City, with a total length of approximately 16 kilometers. This project analyzes the transportation needs from Taoyuan to Linkou, New Taipei City, and comprehensively considers urban development, public transportation and traffic planning, terrain along the line, engineering feasibility, construction costs and financial benefits, and local public opinions, and proposes feasible plans for suitable routes and stations.
Plan handling status
Currently in the feasibility study stage, the feasibility study will be awarded on March 31, 2025. We are currently collecting and evaluating relevant information and reviewing the feasibility study work plan.
