Governance Outcomes

In order to build a comprehensive Taoyuan Metro Mass Rapid Transit system, the Bureau is currently planning a two-stage road network to gradually implement the vision and objectives of the "Beibei Taoyuan One-Hour Rail Life Circle" and meet the daily commuting and transportation needs of the public. Under the framework of the "Three Hearts and Six Lines Network", in order to further strengthen Taoyuan, Qingpu, Zhongli, Pingzhen, Bade and Longtan... and other metropolitan areas, and then the newly added green line extends the Daxi line, the green line, the orange line... Eventually, it is hoped that Taoyuan will be built into a livable and happy city oriented by mass transportation, and that it will drive urban development along the route through rail transportation and combine the benefits of land development to provide a driving force for overall urban redevelopment.

In order to achieve the governance vision of the MRT construction in Taoyuan, the Bureau has set the short, medium and long-term mission objectives for the MRT construction in the Taoyuan Metropolitan Area. The short-range target is mainly to handle the construction of the MRT Green Line, supplemented by the follow-up construction plan and bidding operation of the Green Line extension to Zhongli and the MRT Brown Line. The medium-haul goal is mainly to complete the construction of the three-center six-line network, supplemented by the optimization of the planning scheme of the subsequent MRT potential routes. The long-haul goal is to complete the promotion and construction of the second phase of the MRT road network, and hope to complete the second phase of the road network in 2051, so as to realize the "one-hour rail life circle in Beibei Tao" and a green neighborhood life network with MRT stations as the core and people-oriented transportation as the backbone.
