Route Instruction and Introduction
(一)The origin of the plan：
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Rapid Transit (hereinafter referred to as Airport MRT) is a convenient international transportation system for Taiwanese people and international visitors to Taiwan to travel to and from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and is one of the routes connecting the North Taoyuan MRT network.
(二)Purpose of the program：
The Airport Rapid Transit System connects Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport to high-speed rail/Taiwan Railway stations, Taipei MRT and other transportation hubs with a rail transportation system, and has the functions of airport connection and metropolitan rapid transit, so that international routes and domestic transportation networks can be closely connected, forming a more complete and convenient composite transportation system.
(三)Program Benefits：

(四)Program Content：
The MRT system route starts from Taipei Main Station, passes through Sanchong District, Taishan District, Xinzhuang District, and Linkou District of New Taipei City, and then passes through Guishan District, Luzhu District, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Dayuan District, and Zhongfeng Road and Huanbei Road intersection in Zhongli District, with a total length of about 51.03 kilometers and a total of 22 stations along the way.

一、Route Instruction and Introduction
(一)The origin of the plan：
The project connects Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan Station of the high-speed rail and Zhongli Station of the Taiwan Railway, and connects the Taipei, Taoyuan MRT road network with the intercity public transportation systems such as the high-speed railway and the western trunk line of the Taiwan Railway, so that passengers can achieve one-car transportation services without seams, and is conducive to the people in most areas along the Taiwan Railway to transfer to the Airport MRT, and provides a convenient and comfortable transportation system for inbound and outbound passengers.
(二)Program Content：
This plan is an extension of the MRT Airport Line, with a total length of 2.06 kilometers, starting from A21 station, southbound along Zhongfeng Road in Zhongli District, connecting to Zhongli Station along Zhongzheng Road, and setting up two underground stations along the line, including A22 Station and A23 Station (co-constructed with the future Taoyuan Railway Underground Zhongli Station).

二、Plan handling situation
(一) The project is sponsored by the Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Communications, and the A23 station handles the construction of track side walls and piping, the repair of a continuous wall in the work area, the erection of supports, the implementation of the covering version and the implementation of traffic maintenance diversion. The C003 standard Taiwan Railway Zhongli temporary rear station and cross-station overpass has been put into use on October 14, 2020, and the rest of the work has been substantially completed except for the track switching and material point delivery projects. The A22 station of the MRT Airport Line was opened to traffic on July 31, 2023, and the A23 station is expected to be opened to traffic in 2028.
